Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their mental health status and therapeutic needs.

• Create personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to clients’ unique circumstances.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing clients with essential coping strategies and tools to overcome their challenges.

• Maintain regular communication with clients to monitor progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, referring clients to psychiatrists or other healthcare providers when needed.

• Keep detailed and accurate records of client interactions in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse clientele facing a spectrum of issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, eating disorders, and substance use issues. You will actively engage with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, advocating for inclusive and culturally responsive treatment methods to ensure equitable care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of related clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and cultural competence in therapy.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and commitment to maintaining documentation integrity.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
