This position is a non-union role.The states that reciprocate electrician licenses with Iowa are: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.The rate of pay will be $54 per hour for journeyman license electricians with $125.00 per day of per diem.What You'll Do:Install raceways, conduit, and cable traysTerminate motors and motor controlsPull wire and cableInstall and terminate transformers, buss duct, switchgear, and motor control centersMaintain quality sign-off sheets and customer approval sheetsRead and interpret all applicable codes, drawings, schematics, sketches, and specifications related to assigned workComplete work safely and efficiently, while upholding quality requirementsWhat We're Looking For:Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferredExperience: A valid Class A or B license from the State of IowaSkills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure; Ability to make complex cuts not to waste material, and figure out complex forming systems; Training and complying with all safety rules, and performing without constant supervisionLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively with customers and co-workersPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, sit, stand and walk on uneven ground; use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; frequently make repetitive reaching and other movements with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee frequently is required to speak and listen and must regularly lift and/or move materials. Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
