Grant Accountant

The Grant Accountant oversees the administration, compliance, financial tracking, and reporting of a portfolio of 20+ government grants. This role serves as a liaison between funding agencies, program staff, and leadership to ensure grant funds are managed effectively and all reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of federal, state, county, and city grants. Track grant expenditures, reimbursements, receivables, and restricted funding. Prepare grant budgets, budget revisions, and reimbursement requests. Monitor compliance with grant agreements and reporting requirements. Maintain grant calendars, deadlines, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather required reporting data. Track employee time and expenses charged to grants. Support audits, grant closeouts, and financial reconciliations. Provide ongoing grant status updates to leadership. Assist with accounting and billing functions as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of accounting, financial analysis, or grant administration experience. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Nonprofit experience highly preferred. Government grant administration experience preferred. NetSuite experience highly preferred.
