Mortgage Branch Manager

The next chapter for an accomplished originator can include leadership without abandoning the relationships that built the business. We are looking for a producer who can translate personal standards into repeatable team performance. The mandate is straightforward: produce, recruit thoughtfully, coach consistently, and build responsibly.

Build a referral ecosystem across Los Angeles and nearby California communities through consistent contact with agents, builders, advisers, and organizations serving prospective homeowners.

THE MARKET-BUILDING OPPORTUNITY
This role gives you room to shape the branch around a specific market thesis. That may include deepening relationships with agents, builders, financial professionals, housing counselors, and community organizations. You will be expected to explain the plan, measure it, and adjust it with the team.

HOW THE ROLE WORKS
The branch leader is expected to steer performance, not become the catch-all for every file issue. The branch benefits when you focus on decisions, conversations, and behaviors that change results. The goal is more selling time, faster learning, and fewer avoidable distractions.

BUILDING THE TEAM
Your coaching style should help producers diagnose their business, not simply report activity. Talent decisions should support the branch strategy rather than dilute it. Strong producers should feel supported, challenged, and trusted.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

•Maintain personal mortgage production and demonstrate disciplined pipeline management
• Establish referral relationships with agents, builders, financial professionals, and community partners
• Recruit and mentor producers without building a culture of constant supervision
• Create useful team learning sessions and reinforce commitments through follow-up
• Coordinate with operations and compliance while keeping sales leadership at the center of the role

WHAT YOU BRING
• Approximately five years of successful retail mortgage origination experience; less may be considered where past achievement supports it
• Active MLO/NMLS registration or the ability to obtain every license required for assigned duties
• Demonstrated referral-partner network and verified production history
• Proven ability to recruit, hire, train, lead, and motivate mortgage sales professionals
• Working knowledge of quality control, fair lending, and mortgage compliance
• Strong presentation, communication, and difficult-situation skills
• Familiarity with branch economics, P&L, and basic accounting concepts

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation: Starting salary range of between $80K and $180K a year. Salary, sign on bonus and transitionary income is determined by your current production or team production. 

 
Subject to eligibility and governing plan terms, the benefits package includes medical insurance, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) and retirement benefits, HSA and FSA options, paid time off, and role-appropriate scheduling flexibility.

STATE AND LICENSING INFORMATION
This full-time role is based in Los Angeles, CA. The selected candidate must hold or obtain every NMLS and California license required for the assigned activities. PRMI Compliance will confirm any branch-manager, qualified-individual, or regional designation after licensed work begins.
