We're hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in De Witt, IA. The role requires providing maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company‑owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts, and assisting in building the future of construction. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours. The role is subject to on‑call scheduling with additional compensation. Primary Responsibilities Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment. Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably. Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment. Assist in training lower‑level technicians as needed. Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed, completing work orders in a timely manner. Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts. Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred). Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer‑owned equipment and maintain a clean, professional service vehicle. Participate in year‑round company‑provided OEM training. Perform other duties assigned as needed. Why EquipmentShare? We do things differently. Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools. Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams. Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills. Education and Experience: High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred. Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; must be 21 or older to operate company vehicle. Physical Requirements Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Field technicians may be required to be clean‑shaven to enter work sites for certain customers. This is a safety‑sensitive position and employment will be contingent on passing a 10‑panel drug screen.
