Inventory Cycle CounterUS Farathane is seeking an experienced Inventory Cycle Counter. Work Location: Auburn Hills, MIUS Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE's and TPO's as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.Summary: The Cycle Counter is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy initiatives including cycle counting investigation root cause analysis and reconciliation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Track materials for engineering changes and balance outs to ensure minimal obsolescenceResponsible for scheduled cycle counting of raw material, components, and finished goodsAssist in plant organization to determine and label locations for raw material, components, and packaging.Assist as required in plant activities to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals.Attend APQP meeting and kick off meetings for new jobs.EDI, E-mail, or fax release orders to vendors.Supports plant annual physical inventory activityInvestigate and adjust negative inventories dailyPerform all duties as requested by the Materials Manager.Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.Qualifications:Associate's degree (A.k) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.APICS Certification C.P.I.M preferredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
