CAD engineer, Restraints and Hardware Safety Electronics

Safety Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Responsible for design release of Safety Electronics hardware. Support Design Engineers in the mechanical integration and release of Safety Electronics components. Maintain PLM data for Safety Electronic Components. Work closely with the design studio and interior engineering teams to develop the optimum restraint system packages for occupant protection performance and interior styling. Manage Tier 1 suppliers for both engineering development and program timing. Work closely with supply chain team to deliver against key program and vehicle milestones. Responsible for definition of electrical interface documentation, connector selection, pinout etc. Work closely with vehicle electrical harness team to integrate the safety sub-system into vehicle overall electrical architecture. Support vehicle homologation team to ensure regulatory compliance of the systems. Provide expertise on Safety Electronics system design to meet all vehicle targets (performance, cost, timing, weight, Studio design, quality, manufacturing, etc...).
