• Shift: Days & Evenings (8-hour shifts, weekday and weekend availability)
• Hours/Week: 40 hours guaranteed, open scheduling as needed
• Employment Type: Contract (W-2) with benefits
• License/Certs: Must have active CA LCSW or LPCC
• Experience: Prior mental health therapy experience preferred

What You'll Do:

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on record review and clinical interviews with inmates
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on inmate needs and functioning levels
• Document treatment activities and evaluations accurately in healthcare records
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times
• Provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and support tailored to inmate needs
• Utilize psychological counseling techniques effectively for diverse caseloads
• Contribute to inmate rehabilitation and overall mental health facility goals

What You Need:

• Active CA LCSW or LPCC license
• US Citizenship (for ICE clearance) — expedited clearance in process
• Prior experience in mental health counseling or therapy preferred
• Strong understanding of psychological assessment, crisis response, and treatment planning
• Excellent confidentiality and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience working in correctional or institutional settings
