Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California, United States. Start date 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,736–$2,858 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Night shift schedule of 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. Work in a short-term acute care hospital setting with a busy perinatal service line.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families, from admission through discharge planning.
- Monitor fetal and maternal status, assess amniotic fluid, bleeding, and other perinatal parameters; respond to emergencies such as crash C-sections, precipitous deliveries, and shoulder dystocia.
- Assist with pain management strategies and support epidural catheter placement with continuous monitoring of mother and fetus.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a goal-oriented care plan; educate patients and families at all stages of perinatal care.
- Perform ongoing reassessment, document care in the medical record, and ensure adherence to policy, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of California
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- Additional: Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or AWHONN certification; EPIC electronic health record experience
- Ability to work night shift in a hospital setting and maintain professional, patient-centered care
