Bensonhurst Dental Care Certified Dental Assistant Bensonhurst Dental Care is a multi-doctor state-of-the-art practice delivering the very best care and customer service to patients of all ages. Our offices are located in Brooklyn, and we are open Monday Friday. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has a strong desire for self-improvement and excellent attention to detail. Certification is a plus. Must be a Certified Dental Assistant, licensed or in process of licensure by the State of New York. Skills Required: Must possess knowledge of procedures/terminology and all related instruments and equipment. Must be able to provide infection control/sterilization in accordance with industry standards. Must possess a general knowledge of dental equipment maintenance. Must possess a general knowledge of electronic patient record use and associated computer skills. Physical Requirements: Must maintain a healthy lifestyle. Must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity. Must have excellent vision and hearing. Must be in good physical shape to withstand frequent bending, stooping, leaning, sitting, and walking. Duties: Greeting, seating, and dismissing patients in accordance with office procedures in a timely manner. Preparing patients for treatment by checking them in and performing preliminary treatment as directed. Assisting doctors thoroughly and completely with orthodontic procedures with a high degree of professionalism and efficiency. Properly recording electronic chart entries regarding the details of each visit. Preparing and cleaning operatories for patient treatment. Delivering orthodontic and oral hygiene instructions clearly and thoroughly with the use of visual aids. Obtaining patient records, including photos and impressions for study models. Helping to maintain a clean and well-stocked clinic. Communicating effectively with and attending to the needs of patients.
