What will you do? This position will assist the Accountant II with the audit of all PantherDining and Sustainability Initiatives transactions. This position may require you to be cross-trained with other positions across the department during busier times of the year. Duties and responsibilities include: completing petty cash audits for signature authority, auditing meal plan payments regularly, initiating DrillDown reviews for approval, reviewing all purchase and revenue transactions department wide, analyzing financial statements for errors, completing change order requests in a timely fashion, assisting with budget amendments as needed, reviewing contracts and renewals for signature authority, reconciling deposits for department as needed, reconciling and posting transactions to the General Ledger, maintaining accurate filing systems, providing customer and cashier services, utilizing POS systems to accurately record all dining sales, monitoring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures throughout the university, as well as local, state, and federal regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree; or high school diploma or GED and four years bookkeeping or accounting experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Preferred requirements: previous accounting and cash handling experience. Excellent MS Office Suite skills. Excellent customer service skills. Physical requirements: extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders. Ability to lift 35 pounds. Ability to work in all temperature conditions. Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
