MRI Technologist (Part Time)

Sentara Advanced Imaging Center at Sentara BelleHarbour, in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring an MRI Technologist for a Part Time Weekend Evening Shift. 15K Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates! Hours Saturday and Sunday: 3p - 11:30p Overview Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Performs MR Tech I responsibilities with addition of one of the following: competency in Breast biopsy and/or Prostate biopsy, dual modality MR/CT Tech, or Hospital Based/Standing ED. Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, evaluation and approval of patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patient records, reports, and files. Performs patient MRI exam per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation. Education Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required) Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program (Preferred) Certification/Licensure CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (Required) Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire BLS Experience One (1) year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound (Preferred) Six (6) months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program (Preferred) Experience with GE and Siemens Equipment (Preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr Sentara Healthcare Inc
