Originally established as a general practice hospital in North Andover more than 40 years ago, BVH has now expanded into a 16,500 square foot practice equipped to provide a full-service experience for our clients and our veterinarians—with plans to extend our footprint with a second location in early 2027. We offer specialty care in Anesthesia, Cardiology, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation, Surgery, and Theriogenology—in addition to our primary care, rotating interns, and 24/7 emergency services. In your day-to-day, you will: Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals. Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions. Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine. Have the opportunity to cut a variety of soft-tissue emergency surgical procedures. Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care. Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations. What You Bring DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure. The ideal candidate will be internship-trained and/or have at least 2 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine. Experience in soft tissue emergency surgeries is a plus! Additional surgical training is available. Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
