Position Overview

The Concessions Zone Supervisor will serve as the initial point of contact for concession staff and will maintain, manage, and execute all duties related to the successful operation of the vending locations in their zone. This includes overseeing concession stand operations, coordinating staff, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The supervisor is also responsible for maintaining inventory and enforcing safety and hygiene standards.

Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Operational Supervision:

• Supervise and lead a team of bartenders, cashiers, and runners.
• Oversee multiple stand locations including opening, closing, set up, and break down
• Be present and available in assigned zone to assist with cashier voids, transfers, and general guest inquiries
• Verify opening counts, transfers, spoils, and ending stand sheet counts, must also be able to input counts into each stand location
• Print and distribute Point of Sale (POS) stand sheet documents
• Support the use of the POS devices during the show and assist staff with POS problem solving
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize waste.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Customer Service:

• Foster a customer-centric environment by promoting friendly and efficient service.
• Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally or escalate to manager.
• Assist management in implementing strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.

Quality Control:

• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations.
• Ensure that all food and beverage items meet quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Implement and enforce food safety protocols.

Communication:

• Communicate all event notes including gates, intermission(s), special activations, and last call timing to all bartenders, cashiers, and runners.
• Communicate effectively with concession stand staff, venue management, and other relevant personnel.
• Provide regular updates on sales, inventory, and any issues that may arise.

Education, Training, Traits

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Exceptional customer service
• Flexibility with hours including early mornings, nights, and weekends. Occasional overtime will be required
• Experience with the Appetize point of sale system a plus
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully within ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards

Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in restaurants or large venues is preferred

Physical

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone or walkie talkie
• Must have a working cell phone and be willing to install basic applications and be willing to use it for work purposes
• Experience with the Appetize point of sale system a plus
• Must be able to endure sitting or standing for extended periods of time Must be able to endure standing or walking for extended periods of time on various surfaces such as concrete, grass, and inclined surfaces.
• Must be able to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, wind, and/or precipitation
• Must be able to work in large, crowded environments, with flashing lights, loud music and noises, pyrotechnics, and cannons as part of shows and events
