Prior independent PICC insertion experience is required. PICC certification training is not provided for this position.As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you'll work collaboratively with our customers' clinical teams to resolve venous access issues and support treatment objectives set by the treating physician. Depending on the referral, you may work inside or outside the hospital setting — giving you a unique opportunity to see different treatment protocols and patient challenges across care settings.If you're looking for a change from 12-hour shifts on your feet or rushing between patients with no time for quality care, this role offers a different pace and focus.What You'll DoPlace PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidanceUtilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmationAssist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devicesProvide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declottingEducate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADsRequired QualificationsRegistered Nurse with current, active licenseExperience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasoundExperience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshootingAmerican Heart BLS CertificationValid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportationAbility to work independently and meet scheduling requirements as indicated by job classificationMinimum of 3 years of acute care RN experienceMust possess a smart phoneMust LOVE vascular accessSchedulePer Diem: Minimum of four (4) scheduled shifts per month, with typical shifts approximately 8 hours. Availability to pick up additional shifts as needed. Weekend availability and participation in the holiday rotation are required.Consultants travel to customer facilities as assigned; scheduling requirements vary by job classificationAdditional RequirementsMust have a smartphone for scheduling and documentationComfort working independently across varied clinical settingsCompensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.Hourly Pay Range$65 - $75 USDWhy Join VTP?
