Step into a fulfilling role supporting a student as a Special Education Teacher providing homebound services. This contract opportunity is perfect for educators dedicated to making a difference through personalized instruction. You’ll work onsite supporting a 3rd-grade student with life skills needs, ensuring they receive essential educational and compensatory services within their homebound program.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state Special Education teaching certification required
- Experience with homebound instruction and life skills curriculum preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners in one-on-one settings
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver 6 hours per week of homebound services, including 4 hours of direct instruction and 2 hours of compensatory academic support
- Customize lesson plans to align with IEP goals and the student’s unique abilities
- Track progress and assess educational outcomes, adapting methods as needed
- Maintain regular contact with the educational team and family for updates and planning
- Uphold district policies and special education best practices
