Slitter Machine Assistant

Location: West Chicago, IL 60185 Pay: $18.50/hour (based on experience) Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Overtime: Saturdays as needed Job Summary We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant / Slitter Operator Assistant to support warehouse and production operations. This role helps prepare materials, move inventory, assist with production, and maintain a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities Label finished products Prepare cores and materials for production Move skids and inventory throughout the warehouse Assist with stacking and organizing finished rolls Verify inventory counts and pick lists Pull materials from stock as directed Remove scrap and maintain a clean work area Operate a forklift (if certified) Follow all safety and quality procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic counting and inventory skills Forklift experience or certification preferred Strong attention to detail and safety Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting Ability to handle and move heavy materials with proper lifting techniques or assistance. Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to machinery noise.
