Role Description The Commercial Account Manager is a full-time role based in Central NY. In this role, the Commercial Account Manager will manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, handling policy renewals, coverage changes, and day-to-day service requests. Responsibilities include preparing quotes, reviewing coverage options, processing endorsements, and coordinating with insurance carriers to ensure accurate and timely policy administration. The position involves responding to client inquiries, conducting coverage reviews, assisting with claims support, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve risk management and protection for businesses. The Commercial Account Manager will also collaborate with producers and internal team members to ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention. Qualifications Experience in commercial insurance account management, including policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, and claims support. Strong client service and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate complex coverage information clearly and professionally. Proficiency with insurance agency management systems, office productivity software, and general data entry and documentation practices. Knowledge of commercial lines products (e.g., property, liability, workers’ compensation, auto) and basic risk management principles. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration in Central Islip, NY with independent remote work. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. Prior experience in an independent agency setting or similar insurance environment is preferred. Relevant professional licensing (such as Property & Casualty insurance license) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
