As a Security Officer - Afternoons in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. At this county location, our unarmed Patrol Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security‑related incidents, support access activity, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour Job Schedule: Daytime Mon 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Fri 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site. Document observations, incidents, and/or unusual activity in accordance with site‑specific guidelines. Assist with access control activities and report concerns or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contact. Minimum Requirements: Have 2 or more years of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
