Job Title: Travel RN - Orthopedic Surgery Profession: RN Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1-year current acute care Med/Surg/Ortho hospital experience License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS Required, ACLS Preferred, Chemo Certification Nice to Have Description: Travel RN position in Orthopedic Surgery. Unit specializes in orthopedic and spine care. The unit has a total of 345 beds. The facility has achieved a three-time Magnet designation. There is a float pool staff of approximately 80. Staff includes Day Shift RNs and CNAs on most units. Night Shift RNs and CNAs are also present on most units. Patient ratios are typically 1:5 for both day and night shifts. Ratios may vary between units and are estimated, not guaranteed. The facility utilizes various types of equipment and EMR system. Candidates with a minimum of one year of recent acute care experience will be considered first. Key responsibilities include performing joint replacements and fracture repairs. Care for patients with spinal injuries is also needed. The ideal candidate will exhibit flexibility and a willingness to float between units. Being a team player and showing compassion are essential attributes. This position offers a great opportunity to learn and care for patients with varied medical conditions.
