Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a tertiary hospital, requiring 1+ years of general IR experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Details

Interventional Radiology unit within a tertiary hospital setting
Daily caseload of 4 cases per technologist
5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
On-call rotation required, sharing rotation with two other techs
Weekend coverage required every third weekend
Uses Epic charting system
No floating required between units or sister facilities

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as an IR Technologist
General IR case experience required
Neuro IR experience preferred
Current BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
SCQRSA certification required
AHA certifications only
Radiation badge required, to be provided by the assigned agency
License required if applicable
SSN and driver's license required for consideration
South Carolina license required prior to start, though candidates with a pending license may be considered with proof of application

Additional Information

Perform interventional radiology procedures using isolation precautions, infection control, and sterile technique
Lead tech experience is a valued skill
OR scrubs provided by facility
Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs
First-time travelers will be considered
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
