About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: NICU/PEDS Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience in a combined pediatric unit within the past 5 years. License: NC Licensure required. Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, RRT or CRT. Must-Have: Experience in IPPV/NIPPV ventilator use. Description: We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist specializing in NICU/PEDS. This role involves providing respiratory care for pediatric patients in a dedicated children's facility. The facility is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU. Candidates must have at least 2 years of pediatric respiratory therapy experience. Experience with pediatric patients only is required; mixed-age populations will not be considered. Individuals with emergency department or ICU level experience should specify their background. Travelers will not be floated to other facilities due to the specialized needs of this unit. Weekend rotation is expected every other weekend, and travelers will work 75% of holidays. Candidates must be willing to add time to the contract if absent beyond the approved days off. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in department-specific equipment and technology. Epic EMR experience is preferred; candidates will be required to test out for faster onboarding.
