You’ll be the go-to E&I expert keeping a highly automated metals production plant safe, stable, and online.

This isn’t a slow-moving facility.

You’ll touch everything: power distribution, field instruments, PLC/DCS controls, HMIs, and networks. When something hiccups, you’re the one they call.

Your work directly protects people, equipment, and production.

What You'll Work On

You’ll own a wide range of plant electrical and controls systems, from field devices to control rooms:

• Plant electrical systems and power distribution equipment
• Field instrumentation for pressure, level, flow, temperature, pH, ORP, and analytics
• PLC, DCS, HMI platforms, remote I/O, and communication networks
• Motors, motor controls, VFDs, breakers, and control panels
• Control valves, actuators, positioners, and I/P devices
• Electrical and instrumentation drawings, loop sheets, and P&IDs
• Calibration, loop checks, and commissioning activities
• Maintenance records, documentation, and change management

You’ll routinely use multimeters, loop and process calibrators, HART communicators, and PLC/DCS software to keep the plant dialed in.

When the plant needs sharp troubleshooting and clean, safe work, you’re the one in the hot seat.

What You'll Be Doing

• Plan and scope repairs using work orders, wiring diagrams, loop sheets, P&IDs, and equipment manuals
• Apply lockout/tagout, arc flash, and isolation practices to protect people and operations
• Install and calibrate pressure, level, flow, temperature, pH, ORP, and analytical instruments
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC, DCS, HMI systems, remote I/O, I/O modules, and networks
• Calibrate, stroke, and repair control valves, actuators, positioners, and I/P devices
• Trace circuits, test signals, check loops, and use system diagnostics to pinpoint faults
• Repair or replace motors, motor controls, VFDs, breakers, and power distribution components
• Install conduit, cable tray, wiring, tubing, junction boxes, control panels, and instruments
• Perform loop checks, functional testing, and support commissioning of systems
• Make approved PLC, DCS, and HMI program changes under site change management
• Support energized work, lifts, and rigging when trained and authorized
• Maintain accurate records of calibrations, repairs, program changes, and parts usage while keeping work areas clean and organized

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical & instrumentation or controls maintenance experience (5+ years for senior-level consideration)
• Associate degree in electrical, instrumentation, or controls, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Working knowledge of power distribution, motor controls, PLC/DCS, instruments, and industrial networks
• Proficiency with multimeters, loop and process calibrators, HART communicators, and PLC/DCS software
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, control logic, and P&IDs
• Solid grounding in electrical theory, applicable codes, and safe work practices
• Able to wear required PPE, including a respirator, and work at heights
• ISA certification, electrical license, or manufacturer PLC/DCS training preferred
