Supply Chain Manager
$90k - $140kADDMAN
Supply Chain Manager — Polymer (West Coast)
This position is 100% on-site
Salary Range $90,000 to $140,000
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager — Polymer (West Coast) owns the supply chain function across ADDMAN's three polymer sites: Carlsbad, Irvine, and Fort Myers. This role is responsible for directing and overseeing supply chain, purchasing, OSP, supplier management, and inventory functions across ADDMAN's Carlsbad, Irvine, and Fort Myers polymer sites. The position leads and develops supply chain personnel, establishes priorities and performance expectations, and develops strategies that support production, cost, quality, inventory, and business objectives.
The role exercises independent judgment in supplier selection, sourcing, inventory, cost management, OSP capacity, risk mitigation, and resource allocation. The position may provide limited hands-on purchasing support when necessary for business continuity or unusual business demands; however, the primary responsibility is management, oversight, and strategic direction of the supply chain function.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead, direct, and develop the supply chain and buying personnel across the three polymer sites.
- Participate in and make recommendations regarding hiring, selection, promotion, compensation, performance management, corrective action, and termination of employees, with responsibility for evaluating employee performance and making personnel recommendations to senior leadership.
- Direct and oversee the organization's supply chain, purchasing, outside processing, and inventory management functions for the West Coast polymer business unit, with responsibility for establishing objectives, developing processes, allocating resources, and ensuring operational effectiveness across assigned sites.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of substantial importance, including supplier selection, sourcing strategy, purchasing priorities, inventory strategy, supplier performance, cost reduction initiatives, OSP capacity planning, risk mitigation, and allocation of supply chain resources.
- Evaluate competing priorities, business risks, costs, operational requirements, and supplier capabilities and make recommendations or decisions that materially affect supply chain operations and business performance.
- Set priorities, assign work, and hold the team accountable for purchasing, OSP coordination, and inventory outcomes.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide input on hiring, advancement, and corrective action for direct reports.
- Directly manage and oversee supply chain and buying personnel across the three polymer sites, including establishing priorities, assigning work, directing day-to-day activities, monitoring performance, providing coaching and development, and ensuring accountability for department objectives.
- Exercise independent judgment in determining staffing priorities, work assignments, resource allocation, workflow, and operational priorities across the assigned sites.
- Build a consistent way of working across sites that currently operate independently; standardize purchasing, OSP, and inventory practices.
- Establish site coverage and cross-training so that no site is single-threaded on one person.
- Own purchasing and OSP strategy for the West Coast polymer business unit.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, commercial terms, and capacity agreements with key polymer suppliers and outside service providers.
- Lead structured sourcing events (RFI/RFQ) across the polymer OSP and materials base; consolidate and evaluate vendor responses.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships; monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and cost, and drive corrective action.
- Identify and deliver cost reduction and process improvement opportunities across the three sites.
- Apply enterprise spend taxonomy, supplier terms and conditions, and vendor qualification requirements at the site level, in coordination with the Director of Supply Chain.
- Provide purchasing support and sourcing work where site coverage requires it — generate and manage purchase orders, source vendors, obtain quotes, and coordinate OSP capacity.
- Serve as buying coverage across sites during absences, vacancies, and demand spikes.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems and ensure compliance with procurement policies and documentation standards.
- Oversee inventory control across the three sites — min/max levels, cycle count discipline, discrepancy resolution, and obsolete and excess management.
- Ensure material and consumable availability to protect machine uptime across the polymer fleet.
- Support demand and supply planning as the polymer business unit scales.
- Serve as the supply chain point of contact for the West Coast polymer sites on enterprise supply chain initiatives.
- Collaborate with plant, production, quality, engineering, sales, and finance leadership at each site.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve supply chain policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls across the assigned sites, ensuring alignment with enterprise requirements and business objectives.
- Establish operating standards and controls for purchasing, OSP, inventory management, supplier qualification, supplier performance, and materials availability.
- Provide site spend, vendor, OSP, and inventory data to the enterprise supply chain function on the required cadence.
- Manage and monitor supply chain spending and supplier costs within assigned areas of responsibility; analyze spending trends, identify cost reduction opportunities, and make recommendations regarding supplier strategy, sourcing, and resource allocation.
- Develop short- and long-term supply chain strategies that support business growth, production requirements, cost objectives, capacity needs, and risk mitigation across the West Coast polymer business unit.
- Support supplier audits, contract compliance, and risk management activities as they apply to the covered sites.
- Maintain a safe work environment and abide by all safety practices and protocols.
- Promote a positive work environment.
- Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities that may be assigned at any time.
Skill Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- [5–8] years of progressive supply chain, procurement, or sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment, including [X] years of people management — confirm bands.

- Able to prioritize and operate across multiple sites in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly among the three covered sites.
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing, and of polymer / Multi Jet Fusion production, preferred.
