Lead Wave Planner

Supports a variety of moderately complex, administrative and clerical tasks. Supports the distribution center order process, routing, waving, scheduling & shipping function. Duties include supporting customer order processing, prioriting orders based on established standards, ensuring information integrity, scheduling duties, assisting in bill processing, reviewing shipping documentation for accuracy and other activities relating to the prompt and efficient handling of customer shipping requirements. Works with a series of functions that allows one to work with and edit open orders, to build truckloads and combine truckload into waves, balancing the workload and size of a wave and managing the wave. Prepares the necessary documents for international shipments such as customs invoices and NAFTA certificate of origin to ensure that there are no delays at border crossing. Provides support in maintaining computer based and paper files, prepares reports utilizing spreadsheets and databases. Verify statistical records for accuracy and completeness. Assists in training additional administrative and clerical personnel. Required to work at other Martinsville Area Distribution Centers as well as other shifts to maintain peak distribution efficiencies.
