Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, 92-bed emergency department with a 1:4 RN-to-patient staffing ratio
- Manage and care for patients presenting with acute stroke (ischemic, hemorrhagic, SAH), acute MI, seizures, sepsis, congestive heart failure, trauma, and diabetes-related conditions
- Administer and monitor continuous IV drips and telemetry in accordance with unit protocols
- Collaborate with neuro-medicine and neurosurgical subspecialty teams to coordinate patient care plans
- Perform and support trauma management for patients presenting with MVCs, falls, gunshot wounds, and other traumatic injuries
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Prior Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Demonstrated telemetry and IV drip management experience
- ESI Triage training or experience preferred
- Experience working with neuro-medicine or neurosurgical patient populations
- Opportunity to practice in a large, high-volume emergency department serving a diverse and complex patient population
- Work alongside specialized neurology and neurosurgical teams in a Level I Trauma Center environment
