Job Summary:

This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed Radiology Technologist to work within Immediate Care Centers serving the Midwest region. The role involves supporting physicians and advanced providers in delivering patient care for episodic visits related to minor illnesses, injuries, or routine evaluations. The schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Registration and Discharge: Expertly manage patient registration and discharge processes using electronic medical record systems such as Meditech, EMR, and PACS. Verify insurance and identification, ensure accurate coding and billing, review care plans with patients, and handle communication in collaboration with providers and nursing staff.
• Clinical Support: Prepare patients for examinations based on their presenting complaints, promptly communicate urgent cases to nursing or providers, collect and document patient data, assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures, and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Diagnostic Testing and Treatment: Perform diagnostic imaging following established protocols, maintain radiation safety standards, operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment, document treatments and patient responses, and maintain proficiency in related clinical skills such as splinting, phlebotomy, urine drug screening, and EKG testing.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as directed, ensuring compliance with documentation and regulatory standards.
• Supply Management: Order and manage clinic supplies efficiently to maintain operational readiness.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Limited or Associate Degree Radiology Technologist program preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, procedural and diagnostic coding.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred, may be obtained upon hire.
• Tuberculin Screening Tester Certification preferred, may be obtained upon hire.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine, orthopedics, or immediate care.

Licensure:

Must hold a valid Radiology Technologist certification from the state health department.

Work Schedule:

Varied shifts totaling 40 hours per week, including weekend and holiday rotations.
