Job Title: Shipper and Receiver

Job Description

The Shipper and Receiver is responsible for handling all finished goods entering and leaving the facility, ensuring that products are accurately checked, properly packaged, and shipped out on time. This role involves performing inventory checks, using warehouse equipment to move materials, and working with computer systems to maintain accurate inventory records in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive finished goods into the facility and verify accuracy against documentation.
• Prepare and package products for shipment according to established procedures and quality standards.
• Perform regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate and up to date.
• Use a computer system to check, update, and maintain inventory records.
• Scan products and materials to track movement and maintain accurate documentation.
• Operate forklifts, including bendi and Drexell models, and pallet jacks to move products safely within the warehouse.
• Pick, pack, and label orders for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Handle materials and products throughout the day, including lifting boxes weighing between 1 and 35 pounds.
• Move boxes and materials to designated storage locations, including taking some boxes up an industrial ladder to store them in the warehouse.
• Walk throughout the facility frequently to complete picking, packing, and inventory tasks.
• Follow all safety and material handling procedures in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of forklift experience, specifically with bendi or Drexell forklifts.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks for material handling.
• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Competence using computers to check and update inventory levels.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform material handling tasks, including lifting boxes weighing 1 to 35 pounds.
• Ability to safely use industrial ladders to store boxes in the warehouse.
• Strong attention to detail when packing, labeling, and scanning products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in plastics manufacturing or handling is a significant plus but not required.
• 7 years of Background in general warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and labeling.
• Experience as a machine operator or in a similar production environment is beneficial.
• Comfort working with scanning equipment and basic warehouse technology.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $25.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
