We're looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Technician who wants more than just a job. We want someone who is excited about being part of something new, helping establish the department, and growing with us.If you know trucks, enjoy solving tough problems, and take pride in doing quality work, we want to talk to you.As a Heavy-Duty Truck Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles while helping us establish our new truck service operation.Your responsibilities will include:Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehiclesDiagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drive trains, electrical systems, and other truck systemsPerform brake, suspension, steering, cooling, exhaust, and after treatment system repairsTroubleshoot electrical and computer-controlled systems using appropriate diagnostic equipmentComplete DOT-related inspections and repairs as applicableAccurately document inspections, diagnoses, repairs, and parts usedPerform quality-control checks to ensure repairs are completed correctly and safelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentCommunicate effectively with Service Advisors and other team members regarding vehicle needs and repairsFollow manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and safety standardsHelp establish efficient processes and best practices for our new heavy-duty truck operationProvide input on equipment, tooling, training, and resources needed to grow the departmentThis is your opportunity to build something.Because this is a new service offering, you won't simply be stepping into an established department—you'll have the opportunity to help create it.You'll have a voice in:Building our heavy-duty truck service processesEstablishing shop standards and workflowIdentifying equipment and tooling needsDeveloping our capabilities and service offeringsBuilding relationships with commercial and fleet customersGrowing the department and your career alongside itYour experience can help shape what this department becomes.We're looking for someone who:Has previous heavy-duty truck or commercial vehicle repair experienceHas strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsHas experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty systemsCan work independently and confidently diagnose complex repairsTakes pride in quality workmanshipUnderstands the importance of safety and following proper proceduresIs dependable, organized, and team-orientedHas a strong work ethic and positive attitudeWants an opportunity to grow with a new operationASE certifications, manufacturer training, CDL, or other industry certifications are a plus, but we're willing to talk to the right person.At Kocourek Ford, we're building more than a dealership—we're building a team.
