Auto Driveaway is one of the largest professional driveaway companies in the US, and we're hiring a Dispatcher for our Elkhart office. Our drivers move vehicles from coast to coast, sometimes hundreds each week. As a Dispatcher, you're their home base. You assign trips, keep them on track, and help them solve whatever comes up on the road. That might mean finding a delivery location that doesn't show up on a map, walking a driver through a customer's pickup instructions, or rerouting a trip after a delay, all while our team updated.

What You'll Do

• Spend much of your day on the phone with drivers, answering calls and emails and keeping trips moving
• Assign drivers to trips and plan routes that get vehicles picked up and delivered on time
• Help drivers solve problems in real time, like tracking down a hard-to-find address, clarifying pickup or delivery instructions, or adjusting when something changes
• Stay in touch with drivers from pickup to delivery so nothing falls through the cracks
• Give regular status updates to customers, sales, and internal teams
• Work with our field offices and management to plan efficient trips and cut down on empty miles
• Support driver safety and compliance
• Build strong relationships with drivers who count on you

Who We're Looking For

• You're comfortable on the phone all day
• You use common sense and can think through a problem when there's no script
• You stay calm and organized when several things happen at once
• You follow through and pay attention to details
• You communicate clearly, both on the phone and in writing
• You're comfortable with email, Microsoft Office, and learning new software (Excel is a plus)
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR) required

Backgrounds that translate well: customer service, call center, service scheduling, logistics, or a degree in supply chain, logistics, or business. If you've worked a job where you had to think on your feet, we want to hear from you.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, in our Elkhart office. Weekend on-call responsibilities are shared across the dispatch team via phone.
