Pharmacist -Critical Care (Up to $45,000 Sign on Bonus)

Pharmacist PositionA pharmacist is required to comply with state and federal laws regulated by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, Drug Enforcement Agency, and Food and Drug Administration. In doing so, a pharmacist must maintain records for controlled substances, remove outdated or damaged drugs from inventory, supervise the work results of support personnel, maintain a current registration, and stay up to date with current standard practices and laws.Full Time: Day Shift; every other weekendEssential Functions/Performance ExpectationsProvides pharmacological information by answering requests of healthcare professionals and by monitoring drug therapy and advising on interventionsCompletes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspectionsEnsures accuracy of entered orders and timely delivery of medications to the respective recipientMaintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with established hospital policies and proceduresEducation and ExperienceBachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree requiredCurrent State of Texas License as a Registered PharmacistCertification in area of specialty (e.g., CACP, CNSC, BCNSP, BCOP, BCPS) preferredPhysical RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
