Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 national and international law firm seeking a 2nd to 4th year Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco office. This is a fully transactional corporate role focused on sophisticated mergers and acquisitions and related strategic matters for public and private companies, financial sponsors, investment banks and other institutional clients. The Opportunity You will support significant domestic and cross border buy side and sell side transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances, spin offs, carve outs, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and tender offers. The role is suited to an associate who can manage core workstreams efficiently, communicate clearly with deal teams and contribute to client service in a fast moving transactional environment. The position is office based in San Francisco. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 2nd to 4th year Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney with: 2 to 4 years of significant mergers and acquisitions and strategic transactions experience Experience with domestic and cross border buy side and sell side transactions A strong foundation in corporate structuring and related transaction types Admission to the California Bar, or eligibility to waive into California Excellent communication, research, analytical, business judgement and legal problem solving skills Ability to work effectively in an office based client service and deal team environment Why This Opportunity Stands Out This role offers the chance to work on complex, high value transactions within a well resourced Am Law platform while developing deeper mergers and acquisitions experience alongside experienced deal lawyers.
