Medical Assistant – Lexington, KY
Location: Lexington, KY
Shift: Day Shift
Duration: 12-Week Contract

Responsibilities:

Support both front and back office operations
Greet and room patients
Schedule appointments and answer phone calls
Take vital signs and document patient information
Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
Administer vaccines
Assist with EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Provide general clinical support as needed
Work collaboratively with the healthcare team

Requirements:

At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (externship not included)
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience
EMR experience
Front and back office experience
Experience with EKG, POC testing, scheduling, rooming patients, and taking vitals
Current BLS or CPR certification
Medical Assistant Certification preferred
Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
