Registered Nurse, OR Circulator

Hopedale Medical Complex seeks a Registered Nurse OR Circulator to provide compassionate perioperative care in a rural critical access hospital. In this role, you'll coordinate surgical cases, complete patient assessments, maintain a safe sterile field, and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs. You'll support patients and families with education and reassurance while ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care as an OR circulator for surgical patients from pre-op through recovery handoff Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs to ensure safe, efficient procedures Prepare, verify, and maintain sterile environment, equipment, and supplies for each case Perform patient assessments, verify consents, allergies, and surgical site, and document accurately in the medical record Monitor patient status intraoperatively and advocate for patient safety and comfort Follow infection prevention, medication administration, and safety protocols in compliance with regulatory standards Communicate clearly with patients and families to provide education and emotional support Participate in on-call rotation, emergencies, and rapid response as needed Collaborate with cross-campus teams supporting hospital, clinic, and senior living services Engage in continuing education, quality improvement, and policy updates for perioperative services Required Skills Perioperative nursing Operating room circulation Patient assessment Intraoperative monitoring Aseptic and sterile technique Electronic health records documentation Medication administration and IV therapy Pre- and post-operative patient education Infection prevention and control Interdisciplinary team collaboration #J-18808-Ljbffr Hopedale Medical Complex
