Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 7 months
• Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 2nd Shift MondayFriday, 3:00 PM 11:30 PM (training on 1st Shift, 6:30 AM 3:00 PM, until training period is complete)
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

The Material Handler Shipping is ultimately responsible for managing process flow in the Shipping department. This includes safely and properly fulfilling orders for customers in a timely manner. Using tools such as pallet jacks, Material Handlers transition pallets of product to the order staging area and ultimately onto the customer truck for shipment to the product's final destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a walkie rider pallet jack for pulling orders and transporting pallets of product
• Be a motivated and open-minded team member, willing to adapt to new techniques and processes
• Ability to work independently or as a team to meet established goals
• Load and unload pallets to and from trucks
• Use handheld computers and other technology to track load progress
• Ability to be flexible with day-to-day responsibilities and work in other areas according to business need
• Ability to adhere to company policies, processes, regulations, and procedures in a positive manner
• Overtime as required

Required Skills

• Forklift certified (must be Forklift Certified)
• Ability to read orders and record information in English

Required Experience

• A minimum of 6 months of forklift experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
