About the Role:

Eye Vision Associates is looking for a passionate and personable Optical Sales Associate to join our team in Nesconset, NY! Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in selecting frames, lenses, and optical products that meet their vision and lifestyle needs
• Interpret prescriptions and educate patients on lens options, coatings, and upgrades
• Process optical orders accurately and coordinate with lab for timely delivery
• Perform frame adjustments and minor repairs to ensure proper fit
• Maintain and merchandise optical dispensary displays and frame inventory
• Build lasting patient relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
• Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals

Requirements:

• Prior optical sales or dispensing experience preferred
• Familiarity with ophthalmic lenses, frames, and vision insurance plans (VSP, EyeMed, etc.)
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately process orders and prescriptions
• ABO certification a plus, but not required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment
• Proficiency with optical dispensing software or point-of-sale systems is a bonus
