Nurse Practitioner, Cardiology

Job Summary We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established Cardiology team. This position is based at 137 Main Street in Medford, MA and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is 40 hours per week, including 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of dedicated administrative time. There is no weekend or on-call responsibilities for this hire. The NP will care for patients across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions providing comprehensive outpatient cardiology care, including the evaluation and management of new, low acuity consults as well as ongoing follow-up care for established patients. The NP will also be responsible for interpreting and reviewing results of diagnostic testing for patients. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings. Performs complete histories and physical examinations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings. Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries. Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population. Orders medications and writes prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies and procedures. Qualifications Education Master's Degree Nursing required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN‑NP - State Licence] - Generic - HR Only required. Experience Experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
