Candidates must have a clean driving record and, as a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be able to lift and transfer residents. The Transportation Aide must be willing to work a variety of hours and weekends depending on the need.**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*** Transport and assist residents, per facility vehicle, to outside physician visits in a safe manner.* Assist with transporting residents within the facility to scheduled specialty appointments, i.e. podiatry, audiology, optometry, dental, etc.* Assist with transporting residents to and from scheduled in-house activities.* Provide one on one monitoring for residents deemed an elopement risk on outside visits.***As a CNA:**** Transfer and lift residents.* Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.* Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and assure that their needs are met.* Maintain resident documentation records.* Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.* Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain certification and enhance quality of care.* Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS*** High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent* Must possess a current, valid Driver’s License in State of employment.* **CNA required:** Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or be eligible to enter such a program and graduate and pass a state test within 120 days from date of employment.* Must possess Red Cross First Aid Certificate.* Prior work/life experiences involving independent decision making* Prior work/life experiences, preferably in healthcare or a service industry* Compassionate and enthusiastic personality**Benefits**As a CommuniCare employee you will enjoy competitive wages and PTO plans.
