Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary services while following approved protocols and department policies. This role encompasses delivering timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients. Key duties include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, maintaining airways, and managing mechanical ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintain patient airways and manage ventilators.
• Insert arterial lines and perform intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.
• Evaluate and interpret blood gas results.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NBRC RRT or CRT certification.
• WA RT license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).

Schedule

This position is scheduled from 18:00 to 06:30.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
