Generator Technician

Generator Technician Bemana is seeking an experienced Generator Technician in the Phoenix/Mesa, AZ Area to join a leading independent provider of commercial generator maintenance, repair, and sales. Established in 1990, our client has the Northeast's largest team of EGSA-certified technicians and a growing nationwide presence. Our client is seeking a skilled Level III, Generator Technician with advanced experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel, natural gas, and propane generators, as well as automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control systems. Position Offers: $40-$55/hour depending on experience; paid weekly; (If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to applywe could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions) Company take-home truck and fuel card; paid door-to-door Medical, dental, and vision insurance (effective the first of the month after hire for non-union employees) 3% 401(k) company match 2 weeks of prorated PTO to start (+11 paid federal holidays, 2 floating holidays, and 5 paid sick days) Commission on technician-generated repair work Relocation assistance Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial generator systems up to 4MW Troubleshoot electrical, engine, and control system issues. Perform load bank testing, ATS testing, and system performance checks. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Mentor Generator Technicians I & II. Follow safety standards and participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Qualifications 5+ years of generator service and repair experience. Experience with major generator manufacturers (Cummins, Kohler, Generac, CAT, MTU, ASCO). Proficient with diagnostic software, multimeters, and load banks. Knowledge of NFPA 110, NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards.
