What You'll Do: Professionally clean teeth including prophies and scaling and root planning Presents instructions on proper personal oral hygiene Administers topical fluoride Disinfects surfaces and dental equipment Sterilizes dental instruments according to OSHA regulations Takes thorough inventory of instruments through daily counts and logs Serve as Dental Assistant when needed Proper record keeping and maintenance both in manual and automated systems Ensure dental supplies are on hand and ordered in a timely manner Answer sick call requests and schedules patients in a timely manner Required Qualifications: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an approved hygiene training program. Licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas Board of Dental Examiners. Why TTUHSC?
