We’re looking for a Principal Tunnelling Engineer to work on Major Civils projects of a tunnelling nature at all levels to join our teams across the UK. You’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most rewarding Civil Infrastructure/ Tunnelling projects across both the UK and abroad such as: Pumped Storage schemes for Electrical Power Generation Major Road tunnels Although advertised as a full time role, part time options will also be considered. Here’s what you’ll do: Deliver: Act as a Design Lead for elements of a project, liaising directly with clients and the wider design team for the day to day design development but being guided by a Technical Lead / mentor Provide Expertise: Manage more junior engineers in the design of infrastructure elements Deliver: Provide input to the develop Come grow with us. Qualifications Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Here’s what we’re looking for: You will ideally be educated to degree level in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering, and/ or have MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics/ Geotechnical/ Tunnelling Engineering, with/working towards a professional membership. You will have broad experience as a designer in Reinforced Concrete to Eurocodes in relation to underground structures such as secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, in situ concrete structural elements, D-Walls, shafts and tunnels.
