About the Position

Job Title: RN - Behavioral Health Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Behavioral Health experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, CPI Certification or Calm Every Storm Certification Description: Travel RN position in Behavioral Health. The unit focuses on geriatric psychiatric care. There are 120 beds in the unit with a staff of 50. The typical patient ratios are 1:8/9 for both day and night shifts, estimated and not guaranteed. Equipment used includes Welsh Allen Vital Signs Machines and EMR system - Meditech. Candidates with strong inpatient behavioral health experience will be prioritized. Typical procedures include behavioral health admissions and discharges. Lead RN resource classes are provided. Floating to other inpatient adult behavioral health units may be required. Flexibility and willingness to handle varying patient acuity are essential. Team players with a compassionate approach are valued. The unit fosters a collaborative family environment where staff support each other. This role offers a great learning opportunity to care for patients with diverse mental health issues. The unit has achieved Magnet designation three times.
