Regional Sales Manager

Rural Electric Supply Cooperative (RESCO), is a wholesale distributor of high voltage electrical products.As a member-owned organization, we provide electric cooperatives and utilities in the Upper Midwest with competitive pricing, delivery and support for their electrical supply needs. We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in Middleton, WI.This position will be responsible for developing and executing the long and short-term sales strategy for the Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois territory.Responsibilities include: Coordinate all sales and marketing activities in territory. Accompany outside sales and management staff on customer visits. Attend statewide industry events to develop relationships with our members and non-members. Communicate our business model to customers and manufacturer partners. Monitor and communicate changes in the marketplace such as product opportunities. Develop product promotions with manufacturer partners. Aid in presenting the alliance partnership concept to members and customers. Work closely with the IT department to offer IT related solutions/integrations with customers. Recommend, communicate and monitor sales goals for staff. Manage sales and expenses to meet budget. Monitor and analyze sales metrics providing insights into trends, challenges and opportunities. Assist with large bids and projects. Work with manufacturers' representatives on lead-time, availability, pricing, and order expedites. Partner with the purchasing department to assist with inventory levels, forecasting and stocking suggestions. Assist with resolving any customer issues. Carry out supervisory responsibilities for sales staff which include but are not limited to hiring and training employees; assigning and directing work; completing performance reviews; coaching and disciplining employees; addressing concerns and resolving problems. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, sales or related field.Five plus years of supervisory experience is required.Other qualifications include: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Good analytical and presentation skills Ability to develop relationships with customers Must have a valid driver's license Ability to travel up to 50% of the time #J-18808-Ljbffr Rural Electric Supply Cooperative (RESCO)
