The role emphasizes safety, service quality, cost control, and consistent execution while ensuring smooth operations across multiple locations.The position guides workflows, resource allocation, and future operational priorities. The Field Operations Manager influences execution and process improvements, and partners with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals. This role typically reports to a Senior Manager or equivalent leader.Position Details:Reports to the Senior Market Operations ManagerSupport a team of over 50+ associates, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing business unit environment.Successfully support and oversee operational tasks across six branchesEssential Job Functions:Oversee field operations across assigned regions or locations, ensuring safety, service quality, and operational performance targets are metMonitor operational performance metrics (e.g., productivity, cycle time, labor efficiency, service outcomes) and use insights to guide improvements and inform leadership decisionsProvide operational guidance and recommendations to address risks, resource gaps, and process inefficiencies, escalating complex issues as neededAdvise on workflow, staffing, and resource priorities to maintain operational readiness and consistent execution across multiple locationsInfluence execution standards and operational consistency across field teams without performing day-to-day tasksMaintain presence in the field to validate execution, reinforce expectations, and identify opportunities for improvementDrive operational continuity and readiness during peak demand, process transitions, or critical eventsEnsure compliance with safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company standardsAnalyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, labor efficiency, service levels, and cost performance to make informed operational decisionsRecommend and implement process improvements to address systemic issues and enhance operational efficiencyProvide input on workforce planning, talent development, and succession considerations within assigned operationsInfluence operational investment decisions including asset utilization, capital planning, and process improvementsPartner with cross-functional teams (supply chain, planning, finance, HR) to align operational priorities with business objectivesSkills/Education/Experience:Required:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of field operations experienceStrong knowledge of operational workflows and field executionExperience in decision making and working across multiple locations or job sitesDesired Qualifications:Demonstrated operational leadership and influence in field-based environmentsSound judgment and decision-making, with the ability to respond effectively to operational challengesAbility to analyze data and trends to inform operational decisions and improve performanceStrong communication and collaboration skills across functional teams, frontline staff, and leadership levelsHigh focus on safety, compliance, accountability, and service standardsAbility to plan and prioritize work across multiple locations or teams in dynamic environmentsComfortable operating independently within established guidelines and escalation paths, and influencing outcomes without direct authorityProficiency in O365 tools, including Power BI for reportingAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
