Tax & Estate Planning Associate - Birmingham, MI/ Detroit, MI

Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm to identify an Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience for our Tax & Estate Planning group in our Birmingham, MI or Detroit, MI office. Candidates must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan or eligible for admission without examination. Prior experience and/or education in Tax preferred.

This associate attorney will be responsible for the preparation of the following:

• Estate planning documents

• Income tax planning

• Estate and gift tax planning

• Trust and estate administration

• Business succession planning

The Ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:

• Be detail-oriented, organized, and should possess a solid work ethic

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

• Strong academic record from an ABA-accredited law school

 

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $180,000 – $220,000 annually (DOE).
