About Community Hospital

Community Hospital operates two campuses in Oklahoma City offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient medical services.

• South Campus:
• 31 inpatient beds
• 8 operating rooms (ORs), 3 procedure rooms (PRs)
• Includes an ICU and an emergency department (ED) handling ~5,500 patients annually
• North Campus:
• 14 inpatient beds
• 8 ORs, 2 PRs, and an ED seeing ~10 patients per month
• Facility opened in 2016; located along the Broadway Extension near Britton Rd.
• Annual Volume: ~27,000 surgical cases across both sites
• Surgical Specialties: Orthopedics, Spine, GI, General Surgery, Breast, GYN, Urology, Interventional Pain, ENT, and Da Vinci Robotic Surgery Program

Position Summary

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides executive leadership for all nursing and clinical services. This position ensures consistent delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care across the organization while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The CNO is a key member of the senior leadership team and works collaboratively with physicians, administrators, and the governing board.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing and clinical departments
• Ensure safe, effective, and compliant patient care through evidence-based practices
• Develop and manage staffing models, budgets, and resource allocation
• Lead initiatives in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance management
• Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, and the governing board on strategy
• Oversee policy and procedure development for nursing standards
• Drive professional development, performance evaluation, and employee engagement
• Integrate current research and best practices into nursing care delivery
• Represent nursing services at executive, board, and medical staff meetings

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 2–5+ years of leadership experience (CNO, ACNO, or senior surgical services leader)
• Education: Master’s degree required
• Management: Previous executive-level experience required
• Travel: None required

• Background in surgical hospital or surgical services leadership
• Experience in for-profit and physician-owned hospital settings (strongly preferred)
• Hands-on, visible leader with a focus on excellence and data-driven decision-making
• Skilled in technology and systems thinking
• Strong RN foundation, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality care
