Sorter/Order Picker (Bedford) - 1st Shift

Sorter
The sorter is responsible for preparing and expediting shipments based on customer orders. The sorter must maintain a high level of accuracy, efficiency and productivity, as well as safety, while utilizing warehouse equipment to build and stage orders for shipping.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pull, validate, and pack orders per ship list.
- Prepare and attach shipping labels.
- Stage items for shipment.
- Process orders based on specific mode of transportation (ex: parcel, truck).
- Ensure accurate counts and weights for outbound shipments.
- Verify orders pulled by other associates.
- Responsible for inventory and order accuracy at all times.
- Assist in any other areas of distribution as needed.
- Work overtime as needed.
Education & Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent experience
- 1 year utilizing a computerized picking system
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift, bend and stand for up to 8 hours each day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
