Location: Southeast Ohio (Ohio Valley area) Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000, depending on experience
About the Opportunity
A well-established regional CPA and advisory firm in the Southeast Ohio area is looking for a Tax Senior to take on a varied book of business and closely held clients. You'll prepare and review complex returns, work directly with clients, and help develop staff, with a clear path to Supervisor and Manager.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and perform first-level review of individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation returns
- Handle multistate filings, tax provisions, and projections
- Research technical tax issues and recommend practical solutions
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for clients and respond to tax authority notices
- Plan and manage engagements to meet deadlines and budgets
- Train, coach, and review the work of staff
- Support managers on tax planning and special projects
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation a plus
- 3-5 years of tax experience in public accounting
- CPA or EA (or actively pursuing)
- Strong knowledge of pass-through and individual taxation
- Experience with major tax software (e.g., CCH, UltraTax, GoSystem)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and client service skills
