Title: RN - Telemetry

Location: Bronx, New York

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: 3x11.5-Hour Shifts

Weekly Hours: 34.5 Hours

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience, excellent patient assessment skills, and the ability to provide high-quality care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical treatment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
• Assist with and monitor conscious sedation procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and hospital policies

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN)
• AHA BLS Certification
• AHA ACLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
• Strong cardiac monitoring and clinical assessment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in high-acuity Telemetry units
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation
